What to Expect

This is Brazilian coffee doing what it does best: delivering chocolate, nuts, and biscuity sweetness without fuss. Clifton Coffee Roasters have taken beans from Fazenda Pinhal and roasted them for espresso, giving you a full-bodied, low-acid cup that's built for reliability rather than fireworks.

The Cup

Expect a heavy, syrupy body with the kind of mouthfeel that coats rather than dances. The pulped natural process adds a layer of brown sugar sweetness and rounds out what's already a gentle acidity. This is clean rather than funky, straightforward rather than complex. You'll get dark chocolate, peanut butter, and a malty biscuit character that sits comfortably in milk but holds its own black if you prefer a richer, less bright espresso.

Who This Is For

If you want an espresso that pulls consistently, tastes familiar, and doesn't demand precision brewing, this will serve you well. It's for drinkers who value chocolate and body over fruit and acidity.

If you're chasing floral notes, bright citrus, or anything tea-like, this isn't the coffee for you.

Best for: Home baristas and milk drink lovers who want a dependable, chocolatey espresso.

How to Brew This Coffee

This is roasted for espresso, and that's where it'll shine: the heavier body and developed sweetness are built for the pressure and intensity of an espresso machine. If you don't have one, an Aeropress will give you a similar richness and control without the kit, while a Moka pot leans into the chocolate and delivers a strong, full-bodied brew that works beautifully with milk.

Ways to Brew

  • Espresso

    Espresso

An intense, concentrated brewing method that forces hot water through finely-ground coffee under high pressure. This produces a small, powerful shot with rich crema, serving as the foundation for countless coffee drinks while delivering bold flavors and aromatic complexity.

  • Aeropress

    Aeropress

An innovative, portable brewing device that uses air pressure to extract coffee quickly and efficiently. This versatile method allows for experimentation with brewing times and techniques, producing anything from espresso-style concentrates to smooth, full-flavored cups with remarkable consistency.

  • Moka

    Moka

The Moka brewing method uses a three-chambered, stove-top pot to create strong, concentrated coffee by forcing hot water through coffee grounds using steam pressure.
