How does delivery work?

Every roaster on Coffee Nerdery ships your coffee directly to you, usually roasted to order. So delivery is charged per roaster, and free delivery thresholds apply per roaster too, not across your whole basket. Order from three roasters, and each delivery is counted separately.

We know that feels unfamiliar, because the ‘everything store’ trained us all to expect free shipping on everything. But that "free" was never really free; it’s paid for by scale that small roasters can’t replicate, and margins squeezed from suppliers. Coffee Nerdery takes nothing from your postage. Every penny goes to the roaster to cover the cost of getting your coffee to you. Paying it directly is a small act of support for an independent business doing one thing exceptionally well.

What to Expect

This is Magnetic North Coffee's milk-friendly workhorse from Guatemala's Huehuetenango region. Dramatic leans into chocolate and caramel sweetness with a fuller body that holds its own against milk without losing character.

The Cup

The body is round and syrupy, with a smooth mouthfeel that coats rather than cuts. Acidity is low to moderate, more of a gentle backdrop than a bright feature. This is a clean, washed coffee with no funk or ferment character — just straightforward cocoa, caramel, and a hint of marzipan sweetness. The medium-dark roast brings out brown sugar notes while keeping bitterness in check.

Who This Is For

This suits drinkers who want a reliable, chocolatey coffee that works beautifully in milk drinks — flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos. It's also solid black if you prefer lower acidity and fuller body over bright, fruity complexity.

If you're chasing floral, tea-like delicacy or high-acid fruit bombs, this isn't your coffee.

Best for: Espresso drinkers and milk drink lovers who want chocolate sweetness and a smooth, forgiving cup.

How to Brew This Coffee

This coffee was built for espresso — the medium-dark roast and fuller body make it easy to dial in, and it cuts through milk without turning bitter. If you prefer filter methods, try it in an Aeropress for a concentrated, espresso-like brew that highlights the caramel and cocoa notes. A French Press will emphasise the syrupy body and bring out the chocolate character if you want a slower, more textured cup.

Ways to Brew

  • Espresso

    Espresso

Coffees hand-picked for espresso, chosen by analysing each one's roast, body and flavour rather than relying on the roaster's label. These are beans with the sweetness, depth and structure to pull a rich, balanced shot under pressure, from chocolatey blends to fruit-forward single origins. Every coffee here earned its place by how it actually performs in the basket. New to pulling shots? Read our espresso brewing basics.

  • Aeropress

    Aeropress

A curated range of coffees suited to the Aeropress, selected on their own merits through our attribute analysis. We look for the clarity and balance this fast, pressure-assisted method rewards, so whether you brew short and concentrated or long and clean, each bean here is chosen to give you a bright, well-defined cup. Want to get the most from yours? See our Aeropress brewing guide.

  • French Press

    French Press

A collection of coffees matched to full-immersion brewing, where a metal filter lets body and oils come through in full. We've analysed each one for the weight and richness that suit the press, giving you bold, textured, deeply satisfying cups. If you like your coffee full-bodied, these beans are chosen for you. New to it? See our guide to French press brewing.
