What to Expect
This Colombian Supremo from the Medellin region delivers what many people think of when they picture a proper cup of coffee: full-bodied, smooth, and deeply satisfying without any sharp edges. It's a washed coffee from Caturra and Typica varieties grown at 1,450 metres, roasted to bring out chocolate and caramel sweetness rather than bright fruit.
The Cup
The body is substantial and round, with a creamy mouthfeel that carries weight without heaviness. Acidity sits low and gentle, more of a soft backdrop than a feature, which makes this an easy-drinking coffee that won't challenge anyone. The cup is clean, thanks to the washed process, but the character leans toward chocolate, nuts, and brown sugar rather than anything floral or fruity. It's straightforward in the best sense.
Who This Is For
If you want a reliable, full-flavoured coffee that works with milk and doesn't demand precision brewing, this is it. It's also a strong choice for anyone transitioning from supermarket blends to better beans.
If you're chasing bright, complex, fruit-forward coffees, this won't scratch that itch.
Best for: Drinkers who value body and smoothness over acidity and want a coffee that just works, every time.
How to Brew This Coffee
This coffee handles espresso beautifully, where the body and sweetness shine through milk drinks without getting lost. A French press will emphasise that creamy texture and full flavour, giving you a classic, satisfying cup. For a cleaner but still rich result, try it in an Aeropress, which balances clarity with body.

Ways to Brew
-
Espresso
An intense, concentrated brewing method that forces hot water through finely-ground coffee under high pressure. This produces a small, powerful shot with rich crema, serving as the foundation for countless coffee drinks while delivering bold flavors and aromatic complexity.
-
French Press
A French Press (or Cafetiere) is a simple, manual coffee maker that brews rich, full-bodied coffee by steeping coarse grounds in hot water, then separating them by pressing a mesh filter down with a plunger, allowing the coffee's natural oils and sediment to remain for a bolder flavour.
-
Aeropress
An innovative, portable brewing device that uses air pressure to extract coffee quickly and efficiently. This versatile method allows for experimentation with brewing times and techniques, producing anything from espresso-style concentrates to smooth, full-flavored cups with remarkable consistency.
