How does delivery work?

Every roaster on Coffee Nerdery ships your coffee directly to you, usually roasted to order. So delivery is charged per roaster, and free delivery thresholds apply per roaster too, not across your whole basket. Order from three roasters, and each delivery is counted separately.

We know that feels unfamiliar, because the ‘everything store’ trained us all to expect free shipping on everything. But that "free" was never really free; it’s paid for by scale that small roasters can’t replicate, and margins squeezed from suppliers. Coffee Nerdery takes nothing from your postage. Every penny goes to the roaster to cover the cost of getting your coffee to you. Paying it directly is a small act of support for an independent business doing one thing exceptionally well.

What to Expect

Goldstone is a contemporary espresso blend from Small Batch that brings together Brazil, Ethiopia, and Papua New Guinea in a relatively light roast. You'll find milk chocolate and hazelnut sweetness anchored by a gentle berry brightness — the natural process component adds depth without tipping into funky territory.

The Cup

This is a medium-bodied blend with a smooth, rounded mouthfeel that works well with or without milk. The acidity is moderate and approachable — enough brightness from the Ethiopian component to keep things interesting, but the Brazilian base keeps it balanced and sweet. It's clean rather than experimental, with the berry notes sitting quietly in the background rather than shouting for attention. The hazelnut character adds a nutty richness that makes this easy to drink daily.

Who This Is For

This suits drinkers who want an espresso blend that doesn't sacrifice origin character for the sake of milk compatibility. It's versatile enough for both black espresso and milk drinks, and the relatively light roast means you're getting more complexity than a traditional darker blend.

If you're after a heavy, low-acid, chocolate-bomb espresso, this lighter approach might feel too bright for your taste.

Best for: Daily espresso drinkers who want balance and drinkability without losing flavour complexity.

How to Brew This Coffee

This blend is built for espresso — the mix of origins and processes creates the balance and body that holds up beautifully under pressure and through milk. It also works well in an Aeropress, where you can dial in the strength to suit your preference while keeping that smooth, chocolatey character intact. For a fuller-bodied cup that emphasises the nutty sweetness, try it in a French press.

Ways to Brew

  • Espresso

    Espresso

An intense, concentrated brewing method that forces hot water through finely-ground coffee under high pressure. This produces a small, powerful shot with rich crema, serving as the foundation for countless coffee drinks while delivering bold flavors and aromatic complexity.

  • Aeropress

    Aeropress

An innovative, portable brewing device that uses air pressure to extract coffee quickly and efficiently. This versatile method allows for experimentation with brewing times and techniques, producing anything from espresso-style concentrates to smooth, full-flavored cups with remarkable consistency.

  • French Press

    French Press

A French Press (or Cafetiere) is a simple, manual coffee maker that brews rich, full-bodied coffee by steeping coarse grounds in hot water, then separating them by pressing a mesh filter down with a plunger, allowing the coffee's natural oils and sediment to remain for a bolder flavour.
