What to Expect
This Colombian from San Sebastián is the kind of coffee that doesn't demand your attention but earns it anyway. Medium-roasted Caturra and Castillo beans deliver plum sweetness, caramel warmth, and a whisper of nutmeg that lingers just long enough to make you reach for another cup.
The Cup
The body sits comfortably in the middle ground — round and smooth without feeling heavy. You'll get moderate acidity, the kind that adds structure without sharpness, thanks to the washed process keeping things clean and the medium roast softening the edges. There's no funk or ferment here, just straightforward, honest flavour. The plum note brings a cooked-fruit sweetness rather than tartness, while caramel and nutmeg add depth and a gentle spice that makes this feel like a proper autumn coffee, even when it's not.
Who This Is For
This suits drinkers who want balance and approachability without sacrificing character. It's versatile enough for daily drinking but interesting enough to pay attention to.
If you're chasing bright, fruit-forward acidity or experimental processing, this won't scratch that itch.
Best for: Everyday drinkers who appreciate warmth, sweetness, and a coffee that works any time of day.
How to Brew This Coffee
The medium roast makes this flexible across methods. Try it as filter to let the plum and nutmeg notes separate cleanly, or use an Aeropress for a fuller-bodied cup that emphasises the caramel sweetness. French press will give you the roundest, most comforting version, with a silky mouthfeel that suits the spice notes perfectly.

Origin San Sebastián Farm Inzá, Cauca Producers 6 small producers Altitude 1700-2000 masl Varietals Caturra & Castillo Process Washed Importer Cofinet Roast Profile Medium Taste Notes Plum/ Caramel/ Nutmeg
This coffee is produced by smallholder growers in Inzá municipality. Part of the Tierradentro region located on the western side of Cauca, a region that is 80% inhabited by an indigenous tribe called the Paeces. The average size of the farms here is 0.5 to 1.5 hectares, each producing microlots. Working together as a community they are able to combine their harvests to create a large enough volume to be sold to buyers. Our importers Cofinet collaborate with other small coffee companies, Occicafe Colombia and Globalcafe, to establish a direct relationship with the farmers and have better control of the quality.
Grown in an region blessed with volcanic soil and optimum rainfall that allow arabica cultivars to flourish. This creates a coffee that is bold and delicious and with notes of plum, caramel and nutmeg this really is a moreish brew.

Ways to Brew
-
Filter
A filter coffee machine (or drip coffee maker) is an often electric kitchen appliance that brews coffee by heating water, passing it through ground coffee and a filter, and dripping the finished brew into a carafe.
-
Aeropress
An innovative, portable brewing device that uses air pressure to extract coffee quickly and efficiently. This versatile method allows for experimentation with brewing times and techniques, producing anything from espresso-style concentrates to smooth, full-flavored cups with remarkable consistency.
-
French Press
A French Press (or Cafetiere) is a simple, manual coffee maker that brews rich, full-bodied coffee by steeping coarse grounds in hot water, then separating them by pressing a mesh filter down with a plunger, allowing the coffee's natural oils and sediment to remain for a bolder flavour.
