How does delivery work?

Every roaster on Coffee Nerdery ships your coffee directly to you, usually roasted to order. So delivery is charged per roaster, and free delivery thresholds apply per roaster too, not across your whole basket. Order from three roasters, and each delivery is counted separately.

We know that feels unfamiliar, because the ‘everything store’ trained us all to expect free shipping on everything. But that "free" was never really free; it’s paid for by scale that small roasters can’t replicate, and margins squeezed from suppliers. Coffee Nerdery takes nothing from your postage. Every penny goes to the roaster to cover the cost of getting your coffee to you. Paying it directly is a small act of support for an independent business doing one thing exceptionally well.

What to Expect

This washed Peruvian from San Ignacio delivers a gentle, approachable cup with nutty sweetness and a biscuity warmth. It's the kind of coffee that feels familiar without being boring — clean, balanced, and easy to dial in across brew methods.

The Cup

Expect a medium body with a soft, rounded mouthfeel that leans slightly creamy. The acidity is moderate and smooth — present enough to keep things lively, but never sharp or citric. This is a clean, washed-process coffee with no funk or ferment character, just straightforward sweetness. Pistachio and brown sugar lead, with a shortbread-like finish that adds a comforting, baked quality.

Who This Is For

This suits drinkers who want something reliable and sweet without the intensity of fruit-forward or experimental coffees. It's a solid everyday option that won't surprise you, but won't let you down either.

If you're chasing bright, complex acidity or floral notes, this won't deliver that.

Best for: Everyday drinkers who prefer nutty, sweet coffees with balanced acidity and no fuss.

How to Brew This Coffee

The medium-light roast and balanced profile make this versatile. Try it in a V60 to highlight the clean sweetness and nutty character with clarity. It works beautifully in a French Press, where the medium body and biscuity notes come forward with a rounder, more textured cup. For something quick and forgiving, an Aeropress will give you a sweet, approachable brew with minimal effort.

Moon Roast Coffee

Moon Roast was founded in 2012 by Fran Bradshaw in Hampshire, building on a rich family heritage in the coffee trade that spans generations. What began as small-scale roasting in a garden shed quickly evolved into a respected speciality coffee roastery, driven by a passion for quality and craftsmanship. Set on a repurposed farm in the Hampshire countryside, Moon Roast reflects both its rural surroundings and its deep-rooted connection to coffee history, from Fran’s great-grandfather, a London coffee broker in the early 1900s, to his father, who developed iconic coffee blends. Through daily cupping and a relentless focus on quality, Fran continues this legacy, ensuring every roast embodies precision, care, and a commitment to exceptional coffee.
